CRM & deals — pipeline, follow-ups and the customer ledger
Work a sales pipeline inside your books — follow-ups on WhatsApp or email, a per-client money ledger, and consent-safe lead import.
Finocket's CRM lives inside your books: every deal card shows the client's real invoiced, paid and outstanding money next to the pipeline value. Follow up on WhatsApp or email in one tap, and every follow-up prompts you to schedule the next action.
How do I set up my sales pipeline?
Open CRM. On first use Finocket creates a Sales pipeline for you with six stages: New → Qualified → Proposal → Negotiation → Won → Lost. The CRM has three tabs — Pipeline, Contacts and Tasks — with +Deal, +Contact and +Task buttons on each.
The board shows one column per stage with the total deal value and a stale-count badge. Each stage's settings (gear icon) let you set rot days — after which idle deals get flagged — and auto-advance to Won when a payment is collected. Move a deal between stages with the stage picker on its card (there's no drag-and-drop — the picker is deliberate, and works better on a phone).
How do follow-ups work?
The focus strip above the board pins today's and overdue follow-ups, so the pipeline tells you what to do this morning. On any deal, tap Follow up: pick a message template, then send via WhatsApp (your number or WhatsApp Business API) or email. Finocket logs the activity and immediately asks “schedule the next action?” — pick Today, Tomorrow or Next week, add a note, and a 9:00 AM IST reminder is set.
Each deal card shows a next-action chip (none / today / overdue), an idle-days ring that turns amber when stale and red when rotten, and the client's money reality (outstanding · paid).
What's on the deal detail page?
Tap a card to open the deal: status badge, stage picker, Won/Lost buttons, the follow-up sheet, and a Next action card. Log activities — note, call, meeting, email, task — and each one prompts the next action. A timeline shows everything in order. If you've configured custom fields, they appear here too. The money strip shows the client's invoiced/paid/outstanding totals — it's client-level, since deals aren't linked to individual invoices.
What is the customer ledger?
CRM → Ledger is the money view of your relationships: search any client and see their invoiced, paid and outstanding totals, with their contact details alongside. It's the fastest answer to “who owes me what?” across your whole client base.
How do I import leads — and why the consent step?
Go to Clients → Import: upload a CSV (up to 10,000 rows), check the auto-mapped columns, and review flagged duplicates. Then comes the mandatory consent declaration — for each source you declare the channel, source and exact opt-in text your contacts agreed to. Contacts without a declared consent import as suppressed until consent, so you never message someone without a lawful basis under India's DPDP Act.
Imported contacts arrive as leads; contacts you create by hand are clients from day one. Leads become clients as you win their business — history stays attached.
Who can do what?
Owners and assistants get full write access, including lead import. Accountants see the CRM read-only (a banner reminds them) and cannot import. Enable or disable the CRM in Profile → Modules & features — it's on by default for business accounts.

Frequently asked questions
What sales pipeline stages should a small business use?
Finocket's default six work for most: New, Qualified, Proposal, Negotiation, Won, Lost. Start there, set rot-days per stage so stuck deals surface, and only add stages when a real hand-off exists. Fewer stages you actually move deals through beat many you ignore.
Does Finocket CRM work with WhatsApp?
Yes. Every deal's Follow up button opens a template and sends via WhatsApp — your own number through wa.me, or the WhatsApp Business API if you've connected one. The send is logged on the deal's timeline and you're prompted to schedule the next action.
Is there a CRM that also does billing?
That's Finocket's whole point: the CRM sits inside your accounting, so a deal card shows the client's real outstanding and paid amounts, and a stage can auto-advance to Won when payment is collected. One app, one client record, no export-import between tools.
Can I import my existing customer list?
Yes — Clients → Import takes a CSV up to 10,000 rows with auto-mapped columns and duplicate preview. You must declare where each contact's consent came from; contacts without declared consent are stored suppressed so you stay DPDP-safe. Assistants can import; accountants can't.
Why can't I drag deals between columns?
Stage moves use the picker on each card instead of drag-and-drop — it's precise on touch screens and works one-handed on a phone. Select the new stage from the card (or the deal page) and the board updates instantly.
Can a 5-person team share one pipeline?
Yes. Invite teammates as assistants and everyone works the same board, deals, follow-ups and tasks — one shared pipeline, no per-person silos. Your accountant can watch it read-only.
