Usage & activity — who did what, and what AI costs
A read-only log of workspace activity plus a monthly AI cost estimate broken down by feature and by user.
Finocket keeps an activity log of what happens in your workspace and meters what the AI features cost, so you can always answer "who did what?" and "what is the AI costing me?". Open Profile → Usage & activity. It's read-only — nothing here changes your books.
What does the activity log show?
Each action is recorded with a plain-language summary, the surface it came from — the app, the API, or an AI agent over MCP — and when it happened.
- Your activity — only the actions you took.
- Team activity — everyone in the workspace, useful when an assistant or your accountant shares the books.
If a teammate's entry looks unexpected, the log tells you exactly which surface produced it — a tap in the app, an API key, or an AI tool call.
How is AI cost calculated?
Every AI call — assistant chat, scan-to-add on a photo, and voice dictation — records the tokens it used and an estimated cost. The Usage page totals the current month and breaks it down two ways:
- By feature — chat vs scan vs transcription, so you know which capability drives the spend.
- By user — who on the team is using AI most.
Costs are shown in US dollars and are estimates from public AI list prices — indicative, not a bill. If you brought your own AI key, that usage is metered separately and billed by your provider, not Finocket.
Who can see what?
- Each user always sees their own activity and their own AI usage.
- Owners and admins see the whole workspace — every member's activity and combined AI spend.
- The Finocket platform team sees cross-organisation aggregates only (spend by workspace and feature, activity volume) to run the service. Row-level security keeps your workspace's detailed data private to your workspace.

Frequently asked questions
Is the AI cost shown here what I'll be charged?
No. It's an estimate computed from tokens used at public list prices, shown in US dollars for comparison. It exists so you can see trends and heavy usage, not to bill you. Own-key usage is billed by your AI provider directly.
Can I see what my assistant or accountant did in my books?
Yes. Switch to Team activity and every member's actions appear with a plain-language summary and timestamp. The log also shows whether an action came from the app, an API key, or an AI agent — useful for tracing automation.
Why is my usage page empty?
Either nothing has happened yet this month, or your workspace hasn't generated AI or logged activity since the feature arrived. Activity accrues going forward — it doesn't backfill history from before logging began. Take an action or run an AI chat and it appears.
Does using the assistant more cost me anything?
On Finocket's included AI there's a fair-use daily cap on the assistant (50 messages per day) and no bill to you. The usage page's dollar figures are cost estimates for transparency. On your own key, your provider bills your account per use.
Can my teammate see my AI usage?
A regular member sees only their own activity and usage. Owners and admins see everyone's, because they're accountable for the workspace. Nobody outside your workspace sees details — the platform team sees only aggregate totals.
