Invite your Chartered Accountant
Add your CA as a read-only workspace member. They see everything they need to file — nothing they can accidentally change.
Your Chartered Accountant needs to see your books to file your returns. Finocket has a first-class CA role: read-only workspace access, so they review and export everything — invoices, statements, GST workings, TDS — but can never accidentally change a thing.
Invite your CA
- Open Profile → Team.
- Tap Invite member and enter their email (phone optional).
- Pick the role: Accountant / CA (read-only) — or Assistant (read + write) for a staff member who books entries.
- Send. The next time your CA signs in with that email, they're automatically added to your workspace.
What your CA sees
Signed in, they land on their Portfolio dashboard — one card per client workspace they've been invited to, showing the client's name and GSTIN, total outstanding, the last GSTR-8 reconciliation snapshot with a clean/diff badge, and the next GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B due dates. Open workspace switches them into that client's books; to change client they return to the portfolio and pick another card.
Inside your workspace every screen carries a Read only banner: the Add button is hidden and write actions are hidden or disabled. The same rule is enforced at the database level — even a direct API call couldn't change your data. Accountant mode also shows Tally-style labels on reports, so the screens read like the books they know.
What they can do
- Review every invoice, payment and expense — including PDF renderings.
- Open every report: Day Book, Cashbook, Outstanding, client ledgers, trial balance, P&L, balance sheet, GSTR-1/3B/8/9 workings, ITC summary, TDS summary.
- Download every export as CSV, PDF or Tally XML.
- Raise a support request tagged to your workspace.
If your CA doesn't want another login
The Hand-to-CA ZIP gives them one archive for any period: every invoice PDF, statements per client, Day Book, GSTR-1 and 3B for each month, the Tally XML, and a README describing what's inside. Share it by WhatsApp or email.

Frequently asked questions
How do I send my accounts data to my CA?
Two ways: invite them read-only (they log in and see everything live) or send the Hand-to-CA ZIP — one archive with invoice PDFs, statements, Day Book, GST returns and Tally XML for the period. Most businesses do both: live access monthly, the ZIP at year-end.
What reports does my CA need for ITR filing?
Typically the P&L and balance sheet, trial balance, bank details, the TDS summary (to match Form 26AS), and GST returns for turnover reconciliation. All of these are in Finocket's Reports and the Hand-to-CA bundle.
Is there an app my accountant can also log in to?
Yes — Finocket's Accountant/CA role gives your accountant their own login with read-only access to your workspace, and a portfolio dashboard if they serve multiple Finocket clients.
Can my CA accidentally change my entries?
No. The CA role is read-only end to end — write buttons are hidden or disabled, and the database enforces the same restriction server-side.
Can one CA handle several businesses on Finocket?
Yes — each client invite adds a card to their portfolio dashboard, with outstanding, GST due dates and reconciliation status per client, and one-tap switching between workspaces.
